This is a very bad deal and it's really what UAD is all about these days, because Plugin Alliance and Softube plugins account for most of the UAD portfolio, and with the native versions of those plugins you get free upgrades, you can pick up Plugin Alliance versions for $19 - $29, and you can run way more instances on your computer than you can on in the UAD DSP. Yes, I own an UAD Apollo x8, love it, and have lots of their best plugins. Yep, amazing stuff that pros use :) (if this isn't making sense, lookup their API Vision channel strip reviews they're using all the old, positive reviews from a product that they've demoted to Legacy, while they're asking those same people $150 for essentially the same product it's a complete shit show) and a lot more for the Luna exclusive versions!!! Let see, 107 x $150 + $2,499 + the cost of your UAD audio interface, plus the Luna exclusive plugin prices, but free Luna!. in October, UAD will update their aging plugins with some minor GUI uplifts, and demote all your plugins to Legacy, then ask you to pay $150 per plugin to upgrade to the latest and greatest.
